Writing is another facet of how I love to express creativity.
I have been writing for many years as a tool to help me tap into my intuition and explore my subconscious mind.
I have published two books since 2013. Arcturian Rainbow Healing and Sacred Feminine Priestess Path.
Writing has helped me to trust my inner guidance and strengthens the connection to my Higher Self. This is where creativity, inspiration, and ideas flow.

I am so happy that the inspiration to do a Chakra painting came through. I wanted to experiment with the chakra geometry and perhaps do a series later on. A 24 x 48 inch canvas felt like a good size to do all 7 mandalas as it allowed me to go smaller than usual with each one and really magnify detail.
The intention behind this painting was the create something that would assist a Chakra Meditation and support the Reunification of SELF. I imagine the owner of this painting would sit crossed legged, with straight back, head held high, with gaze focused on each mandala as they breathe with awareness and intention to connect with each of their chakras as their gaze moves through the painting. I believe this painting contains the healing energy that will help to balance your chakras when you meditate with it.
I felt the use of the UV paint would take our awareness into new spaces as you sit and connect with your chakras under blacklight. Day or Night. Every time you sit for Meditation will be a new experience.
The background of this painting is a metallic blue paint splattered with white acrylic to create the energy of the night sky. Everything is moving. Behind each chakra mandala I have created a vortex of energy with white acrylic and glow in the dark paint. The LIGHT will help keep these vortexes activated and they will glow with or without a blacklight in a dark room.
So, let explore the Chakras together a little. You can find so much information about Chakras online so I wont go into too much detail. They are fascinating to research. The intricate symbols for chakras in Sanskrit contains multiple images with linear meanings. I believe we have many more than 7 chakras but I do feel that these 7 main chakras are an excellent foundation for tapping into your energy system.
First Chakra – The Base or Root Chakra (Muladhara) - RED
We start at the bottom with the first chakra. Located at the base of the spine. This is our ‘foundation’. It relates to our security and our survival. Our fight or flight instincts. It houses our Kundalini energy.
‘’The first of the seven energy centers, Muladhara is also the most dense of the seven chakras. The main color of this chakra is red which is also the most dense color of all chakra colors.
Red is the slowest of all the wavelengths within the visible spectrum, yet, it is the most stimulating color.
It pulls the retina forward so all of our energy and attention is focused outward.
That's why we use red color for the stop lights and stop signs. The root chakra color commands attention. It signals danger to us. We act immediately.
Red is the color of the life force. It is the color of blood and the first color we come into contact when we are born.
Red means energy and our connection with the Earth and carries the promise of survival’’ [chakra anatomy].
The root chakra is surrounded by four red lotus petals — each representing a different element of the human psyche, which are:
Housed within the root chakra crystal is the symbol of an upside down triangle with a dualistic meaning. The most common explanation is the downward cone shape is indicative of the funneling of knowledge to the seed (the triangle’s point) out of which wisdom and spiritual awakening sprouts. From the other direction, the triangle’s sides are symbolic of the broadening of one’s consciousness.[chakras info] I also like to see these two triangles as representing the masculine and feminine aspects of our soul.
The crystal within the centre of the Root Chakra Mandala is an engraved Red Jasper.
Red Jasper is a remarkable crystal for awakening the energetic kundalini “serpent” dwelling at the base of the spine. The spiraling of this energy up through the body provides a powerful spiritual experience as it activates, clears and strengthens each of the chakras, infusing them with vital Life Force energies. [Ahsian, 215]
Red Jasper is a marvelous tool for meditation, providing a calm, harmonious energy, ideal for grounding and centering at the beginning of a ritual, and easing the transition into a meditative state. Red Jasper encourages the affirmation of nurturing the self and being embraced lovingly by Mother Earth. It facilitates the reiteration of dreams as if in a video-type mechanism, accessible during meditative states, that allows the dreamer to recall information that could be consequential for one’s life. [Margherita, 505][Melody En, 394]
Second Chakra – The Sacral Chakra (Syadisthana) - ORANGE
Just under the navel, the sacral chakra is where our emotions reside and is in turn connected to our relationships with SELF and others.
Orange - the sacral chakra color is composed of red and yellow in equal parts and it is a color of vitality and strength.
It is at the lower end of the visible light spectrum and it is also a warm color. It reminds me of the heat of the sun.
Just as the sacral chakra is located in the pelvic area, orange is the area of our gut feelings and wisdom.
Buddhists call this "hara", the centre of being through which we connect with the deepest voice of the self, the deepest stillness and wisdom.
This is where we find bliss.
Orange energy is very sensual. Living a life guided by orange color transforms even the most mundane daily experiences into pleasurable experiences.
That is not to say that orange is purely hedonistic. Orange is also associated with the gentle and positive nurturing of ourselves which moves us on our path of growth and development. [chakra anatomy]
The symbol of the sacral chakra is composed of:
A circle with six petals
A moon crescent
The circle represents the elements of water. Typically, the moon crescent is colored in silver and represents the connection of the energy of the moon with water. These symbols point to the close relationship between the phases of the moon and the fluctuations in the water and the emotions.
Furthermore, the symbolism of the moon relates to the feminine menstrual cycle that takes the same number of days to complete and the connection of the sacral chakra with sexual organs and reproduction.[chakras info]
The crystal within the centre of the sacral mandala is a Orange Aventurine. It is sometimes called the "whisper stone," as it will aid you to overcome engaging in negative internal dialogue. This stone draws good luck and affluence, and opens opportunities that are bound to bring exciting new energies into your life. It is an asset in the workplace, as it is known to heighten creativity and inspire one to finish tasks to completion.
Orange aventurine helps build healthy self esteem and self confidence, heightens personal power, provides an overall sense of well being and wellness, and guides one to find appropriate ways to deal with life’s adversities, including grief. It helps those dealing with shyness to shine. Additionally its energies balance emotions, inspire originality and independence, guide one towards healing from sexual trauma, and create stillness within the mind in preparation for meditation. Keep some on hand when selling property or conducting business, to increase self confidence and draw a better outcome.[metaphysicalityinc]
Third Chakra – The Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) - YELLOW
Located in our stomach area and connected to our own Self Awareness.
Yellow - the solar plexus chakra color is a primary color, composed from a single ray of light.
Yellow is the color of sunshine and it is the core of your being. It is at the solar plexus where the "I" shines from, where you feel the strength, will and personal power.
The energy of yellow is vibrant, optimistic, and full of energy. It is the color of youth, new beginnings, birth and re-birth.
At the same time, yellow is wise and knowledgeable.
Yellow connects you with knowledge and your intellect. People who are drawn to yellow are drawn to intellectual pursuits.
As you unfold the petals of solar plexus chakra, you find a fire that burns within you, that gives you power and energy to stand for yourself and to assert yourself. You find trust and inner worth. That is the healing brilliance of yellow. [chakra anatomy]
The main elements of the Solar Plexus chakra symbol are:
A circle with ten petals
A downward-pointing triangle
The inverted triangle represents the fire element and the transformative power of this energy center. Fire turns matter into energy that can be used to propel, move forward. [chakra info]
The engraved crystal in the centre of the solar plexus mandala is a Yellow Aventurine which is great for opening and balancing the Solar Plexus Chakra. Those who are oversensitive or indecisive, issues relating to an unbalanced Sacral Chakra, can also benefit from Yellow Aventurine reassuring and balancing energies.
The helpful energies of Yellow Aventurine can aid those who have problems with power and control. Working with Yellow Aventurine can help focus intentions for manifesting a sense of ease in being yourself. The golden light of Yellow Aventurine fills one with compassion and understanding, alleviating grief and centering the emotions.
Use Aventurine to reduce/absorb/protect against electromagnetic and environmental pollution. Yellow Aventurine can assist in removing toxins and enhancing the flow of energy through the body. Yellow Aventurine balances the Yin-Yang energies, eases anxiety and expands the flow of creativity.[healing crystals]
Fourth Chakra – The Heart Chakra (Anahata) - GREEN
Located in the centre of the chest, this chakra connects to Love, Kindness and Self Empowerment.
Green color is composed of yellow and blue in equal parts. Green is a color of love. It is at the very center of your being. The heart center.
Green is the energy of love and transformation. It allows you to transform your ego and the needs of your lower chakras and open up to love.
To become more loving and compassionate.
It is at the heart center where the energies of lower chakras (once the needs are fulfilled and satisfied) can be transformed and integrated into a more spiritual aspect of yourself.
This is where you reach beyond yourself and connect with something greater, wider, and deeper.
Green is the color of growth, life, and balance. Through balance you find this center from which you can love, form healthy and nourishing relationships, and give and receive love.
The energy of green is soothing and calming, like a blanket of soft grass underneath your feet. It is the color of nature, grass, and the trees.
As you unfold the petals of your heart chakra, you find the seat of compassion, not only for others, but for yourself as well. You begin to radiate love. You begin to sense the interconnectedness of all of life. [chakra anatomy]
The intersecting triangles represent the air element and its all-encompassing quality. They also symbolize the union of seemingly opposite principles or types of energies, such as male and female, spirit and matter. The star that they form evokes the harmonious joining of forces and highlights the function of the heart chakra as a center of integration and connection. [chakras info]
The crystal in the centre of the heart chakra mandala is a Green Aventurine. Green Aventurine is used in meditation as a transitional aid, bringing powerful Earth energy to our efforts in seeing the best life has to offer. It also assists in persevering through times when it seems as if nothing is happening. [Simmons, 55]
Green Aventurine also soothes emotional wounds, allowing one to recognize the issues behind illness or imbalance, depression or defeat, and to facilitate the release of unhealthy relationships, patterns and heartache. It encourages one to view hardships in life as impermanent, as an opportunity for growth in a new direction, and for taking all things in stride. It inspires a feeling of lightness, even humor, which can then stimulate a renewed sense of optimism, joy and hope. It is a reaffirming stone, especially during times of change or upheaval and can be the emotional anchor one needs to remain stable and firmly grounded. [Ahsian, 56][Simmons, 55]
Fifth Chakra – The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) - BLUE
Located at the base of throat this chakra connects to our ‘expression’.
Blue - is the first of the three primary colors and it is the color of the throat chakra.
Blue connects you with the Divine and it is the color that we associate with Heaven.
Blue energy is pure, soothing, calming, and healing.
Imagine yourself lying on the grass on a beautiful sunny day, looking at the blue sky. How do you feel?
Peaceful. Serene. Content. Tranquil.
That is the power of throat chakra color.
Blue is also at the cooler end of the spectrum, where things slow down, allowing you to take time to be still.
And to listen to your own voice. To listen to the stillness within and to express what needs to be expressed.
In Buddhist philosophy, blue is the color of pure mind - the mind that is uncluttered by thought. In stillness, you can find pure mind.
Blue energy is a guiding energy, enabling you to find a sense of faith and trust.
Red, orange, yellow, and green guide your attention towards movement, activity, relationships, and things that can be observed on a material plane.
Blue moves your attention to the subtle vibrations that move through all of life.
As you unfold the petals of your throat chakra, you find the seat of creativity. You communicate with ease and clarity. You begin to express your authentic self. [chakra anatomy]
The symbol of the Throat chakra is composed of:
A circle with sixteen petals
A crescent with a circle inside of it
Sometimes, it is symbolized by a circle containing a downward-pointing triangle in which is inscribed another circle.
The crystal within the centre of the throat chakra mandala is a Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli is a crystal of truth in all aspects. It reveals inner truth, and promotes self-awareness and the acceptance of that knowledge. It provides for the relief of things that may have been suppressed and allows for them to surface, helping to diminish dis-ease or repressed anger, and allows for self-expression without holding back or compromising. [Hall, 173][Melody, 370]
Lapis Lazuli is a visionary stone, bringing information to the mind in images rather than words. It can be a catalyst for higher awareness, and often aids those with past-life connections to ancient civilizations - Atlantis, Egypt, Peru, Sumeria and India, among others. Meditating with this stone can assist in recovering memories of those Lapis Lazuli past lives, help regain lost knowledge from those civilizations, and inspire evolution in the current incarnation. [Simmons, 227][Ahsian, 228]
Sixth Chakra - The Third Eye Chakra (Anja) - INDIGO/PURPLE
Located between the eyebrows this chakra connects to our ‘intuition’.
Indigo also called Royal Blue is the third eye chakra color. It is a color of wisdom and deep inner knowing.
Indigo opens the door to the Divine and it is the color that we associate with night.
It is at night, when our senses become finer and a different part of us awakens.
Indigo brings clarity to the sense organs - your seeing, hearing and feeling. Indigo It is also connected to your sixth sense - your third eye.
Indigo is a bridge between heaven and earth, between the left and right hemispheres and also between life and death.
Indigo helps to make a transition towards life or towards death.
Indigo color energy is an energy of deep change. It allows you to transform the energies of lower chakras into higher spiritual vibrations. You must be cautious though, because you can become ungrounded and disconnected with the life on earth and with your family and friends.
As you unfold the petals of your third eye chakra, you begin to recognize patterns. You can see where you have been, where you are stuck, and where you are going.
You begin to experience those "Aha" moments. Moments of insight and clarity. You are recognizing your patterns and are able to relate everything to a larger picture and what it means.
Illusions are shattered and dreams are integrated. You begin to experience wholeness and sense of tranquility and inner knowing - wisdom.
You begin to see that you can consciously create your life. And that your vision for the future is a creative act of will.[chakra anatomy]
The image of the Third Eye chakra symbol contains two elements frequently associated with wisdom: the upside down triangle and the lotus flower. [chakra info]
The engraved crystal for the third eye chakra mandala is an Amethyst. Amethyst carries a high spiritual vibration of humility and devotion to the Divine. It is highly conducive to stilling one’s thoughts in prayer and meditation, and surrendering to that which is greater than the self. Amethyst also stimulates the higher mind to receive one’s spiritual power as a creation of the Divine being and to open to the insights, wisdom and guidance that is offered. [Ahsian, 29][Raphaell, 79][Hall, 54]
Amethyst is a stone of spiritual protection and purification, cleansing one’s energy field of negative influences and attachments, and creating a resonant shield of spiritual Light around the body. It acts as a barrier against lower energies, psychic attack, geopathic stress and unhealthy environments. It is a valuable protection for those doing psychic or intuitive work, and enhances personal environments with a healing and protective circle of Light. [Simmons, 28][Ahsian, 29][Hall, 54]
Seventh Chakra – The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)- MAGENTA/VIOLET
Located at the top of the head this chakra is our connection to the ‘Divine’.
Violet is the crown chakra color - our connection with the energy of heaven. Violet is the color of spirituality. It has the shortest wavelength and the highest vibration of the colors of the visible spectrum of light.
Violet offers and inner sense of wholeness. With wholeness comes a sense of ending, completion of a process, and a promise of something new, illumination, rebirth.
Violet connects with sadness of letting go and also with joy of transformation. There is peace and tranquility in the newfound knowledge of profound change.
Violet color is cleansing and purifying. It is the color of magic, ritual, cleansing, purifying, connecting, mystery, and mysticism.
It is a color that allows us to glimpse other realities, beyond our physical and material reality of this earthly existence. It is pure cosmic energy.
Violet is a color of reconciliation. Of bringing together polarities - male and female, day and night, hot and cold, heaven and earth, right brain and left brain.
In this state of balance, you feel the connection with other beings, with heaven, with earth, with all of Universe. There is no separation, no duality.
As you unfold the petals of your crown chakra, you find the seat of your wisdom. You assimilate knowledge and integrate it. You know and you understand. You manifest divinity.
The symbol of the Crown chakra is composed of:
A thousand petals
The crystal used for the centre of the crown chakra mandala is a lilac/lavender/violet/white Amethyst.
The Crown Chakra is our gateway to the expanded universe beyond our bodies. It controls how we think, and how we respond to the world around us. It is the fountainhead of our beliefs and the source of our spirituality. It connects us to the higher planes of existence and is the source of universal energy and truth. When the Crown is in balance, our energies are in balance. We know our place in the universe and see things as they are. We are unruffled by setbacks, knowing they are an essential part of life. Imbalances of the Crown Chakra are treated with Light Violet crystals. Their violet rays have the universal life force of magic, dreams, inspiration, and destiny.
The higher vibrational White and Lavender/White crystals are associated with the Higher Crown, Soul Star and Stellar Gateway Chakras. They are attuned to higher, more spiritually enlightened things, and embody true humility. They provide a soul connection and the highest self-illumination, as well as a cosmic doorway to other worlds. [Hall II, 366] They represent personal identification with the Infinite, and oneness with God, peace and wisdom. [Raphell, 164]
